MetroWest Nationally Recognized for National Night Out Event

MetroWest wins All-Star Award from National Association of Town Watch

ORLANDO, Fla. (December 12, 2012) – MetroWest Master Association announces today they are recipients of the National Association of Town Watch’s (NATW) All-Star Award for their National Night Out (NNO) event held in August 2012. This award comes on the heels of MetroWest’s recognition as the recipient of The City of Orlando’s City Beautiful Award for District 6.

“We are extremely pleased to be nationally recognized for our National Night Out event,” says Stina D’Uva, MetroWest Master Association board president and resident of 23 years. “It’s nice to be rewarded for the great initiatives in our community. Celebrating two awards, in just a matter of days, confirms MetroWest is thriving and is one of the best places to live, work and play in Central Florida. The City Beautiful Award given by the City of Orlando recognizes MetroWest for the beauty of our community and the NATW All-Star Award highlights our community’s close-knit identity. What a great place to be.”

The NATW All-Star award is based on seven qualifications including the overall campaign strategy, community participation, law enforcement involvement, media and promotional campaigning, special events, post project reports and theme. MetroWest’s NNO event was themed “Kicking Out Crime” and featured the students at Victory Martial Arts. The event hosted more than 700 people to enjoy music, games, food and to celebrate a safe and strong community.
